Having a community of people around you is vital.

That was one of the key takeaways from last night’s in-depth conversation with Paul Farley at the Abertay cyberQuarter as he spoke to Stuart Milne about his time with DMA Design, Tag Games, ChilliConnect, Unity and most recently, Firestoke Games.

It was a fascinating deep dive into the mindset of one of the Scottish games industry’s most recognisable figures, and we’re incredibly grateful that Paul took the time to share his experiences with the next generation of video games entrepreneurs.

It was also brilliant to see the growing camaraderie among our regular Game Space attendees — to the point that the evening carried on at the pub after we closed up!

We also heard from Brian McNicoll about the new Levelling Up community development programme for games companies - which we'll post more about shortly

Finally, a big thank you to our other helpers for the evening - Leon Chan, Simon Fraser and Pippa Creegan and to Henderson Loggie and Grant Snedden for sponsoring the catering.
